Switch Kit

Switching to Bank of Cape Cod is easy and painless with our convenient Switch Kit. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions below and start rediscovering how good local banking can be!

Step 1: Opening Your New Bank of Cape Cod Account(s)

o open your new accounts, simply stop by one of our branch locations and speak to a Banking Representative. For more information about the different accounts available click here or call us at 508-568-2300 to talk with a Banking Representative.

Step 2: Stop Using Your Old Accounts

Once your new Bank of Cape Cod accounts are open, you can stop using the accounts at your old bank. Be sure you have enough funds in your accounts to cover any outstanding checks or automatic payments.

Step 3: Switch Any Direct Deposits or Automatic Payments

Once your accounts are opened, we'll help you take care of switching any automatic deposits or withdrawals to your Bank of Cape Cod account by using our Change Request for ACH Payment Authorization Form. You'll want to be certain to notify the following of this change: direct deposits (Social Security or Payroll); insurance premium payments; utility payments; and automatic debit card payments

Step 4: Setup Online Bill Payment

If you pay bills using your current bank's website, you'll want to set up your payees in our bill payment service. The best way to transfer your payees is to print out the payee details from your existing account and update your payee information with Bank of Cape Cod. Just give us a call or come in to see us and we'd be happy to help you take care of this.

Step 5: Close Your Old Bank Accounts

Be sure all of your outstanding checks have cleared, and be sure any direct deposits and automatic payment drafts have been properly switched to your new Bank of Cape Cod account. Once this is done, you can visit your current bank to close out your accounts and transfer any remaining balances. Please contact us if you need any assistance closing your old accounts.

That's it! Please allow up to 4 weeks for the transfers to take place. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure a smooth and simple transition to your new Bank of Cape Cod account.
