Bank of Cape Cod Profile

In 2005, several prominent members of the local business community began discussing the need for a bank that understands and addresses the needs of local businesses. They recognized a void in the local banking market – the need for local decision making where bankers take the time to get to know their customers and to understand their business and personal banking needs. These initial conversations were the impetus behind the ultimate formation of Bank of Cape Cod. After 18 months of careful planning, a lengthy regulatory review and approval process and a stunningly successful capital campaign, the Bank opened its main office at 232 Main Street, Hyannis in the fall of 2006. The reception and interest in the bank was strong and business grew rapidly. In March of 2008 a branch office at 57 West Bay Road, Osterville opened.

The Management, Associates and Directors of Bank of Cape Cod believe in the Cape Cod community and are committed to making a difference in the lives of its businesses and residents.

As the bank continued on its path of prudent and carefully planned growth, Opportunity next arose in the Town of Falmouth where Bank of Cape Cod opened its third branch at 445 Main Street in May 2012. The new market in Falmouth created continued opportunities and growing business. In May 2013, Bank of Cape Cod launched its residential mortgage division, to serve the growing demand of consumers interested in local, community banks providing greater mortgage options. Bank of Cape Cod opened its fourth branch and new corporate headquarters in August 2014 at 1582 Route 132/Iyannough Road in Hyannis.
