Mr. Sexton serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of the Bank of Cape Cod.  His 30 years of banking experience include expertise in
originating new commercial loan and lease business.  Prior to joining the Bank, Mark was a Vice President of Lending at The First National Bank of Boston and its successor, Fleet Bank, as well as at Eastern Bank and General Electric Capital Corporation.  Mark is a life-long resident of Cape Cod and resides in Hyannis, Massachusetts.  He joined the Bank as part of the original management team in 2006 and has been instrumental in the Bank’s growth and success.

Charles A. DeSimone has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at Bank of Cape Cod. Charlie's successful lending efforts have been a key component to the growth of the Bank's commercial lending portfolio over the past several years. His expertise and success lending to businesses throughout Cape Cod demonstrate his knowledge of the local market, his integrity and his outstanding relationships with clients. Charlie is highly experienced in community banking and is dedicated to providing the highest level of personal service to his clients.

In 2002, Mr. Petro founded Fort Hill Capital Management based in Duxbury, Massachusetts as a quantitative proprietary hedge fund specializing in equity derivatives. In 2007 Mr. Petro co-founded Bay Hill Capital Management LLC, a $100 million Volatility Arbitrage Hedge Fund and presently manages Bay Hill’s day-to-day operations where he is Managing Partner.  Fort Hill Capital is also a
founding partner of Absolute Investment Advisers, a $3.3 billion absolute-return mutual fund.  Mr. Petro is presently an Adjunct Professor in the Finance Department of Boston College where he teaches classes on Hedge Funds.  He resides in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Each year since the Bank's opening, employees of Bank of Cape Cod have kicked off the holiday season by generously donating clothing, toys and Christmas wish list items to children through the Salvation Army's Dress a Live Doll Program.  This year the Bank's employees donated items for a family with three young children with gifts of winter coats and warm boots, sweaters, pants and a selection of toys and games.  Employees shared a Holiday Pot Luck Lunch and wrapped gifts for delivery to the Hyannis Salvation Army Shelter on November 30th.

September 13, 2011 was designated as the United Way's Day of Caring 2011.  This is a time for business people on Cape Cod to take a break from their normal work day and volunteer their time at local, non-profit agencies.  For the employees its a wonderful team building experience and for the agencies, it is an opportunity to tackle work projects that they don't normally have the resources or time to complete.  A team from Bank of Cape Cod worked at A Baby Center in Hyannis and helped reorganize their stock room to prepare for the upcoming change of seasons. 

Christopher L. Merrill joined Bank of Cape Cod as a Portfolio Manager in July 2011.  Chris had been with the Massachusetts Development Finance Agency as a Lead Credit Analyst since April 2007 and prior to that was an Audit Associate with Pricewaterhouse Coopers for 4 years.  Chris is a graduate of Elon University and has completed both the RMA Loan Officer Residential School and the Massachusetts Bankers Association School of Commercial Lending.  He has been a member of the Town of Plymouth Advisory Finance Committee since 2005 and resides in Plymouth.   

Blair E. Bauer joined Bank of Cape Cod as a Technology Specialist in June 2010.  In this role, Blair will provide backup and support to the IT function.  Blair had been with Talbots in Hingham for the past 11 years as a Technology Analyst and prior to that he was a Senior Information Specialist at Cape Cod Bank & Trust Company for 5 years.  Blair grew up on the Cape and currently lives in South Plymouth. 

Mark E. Linehan joined the Bank in January 2011 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  Mark has more than 30 years experience in banking and most recently was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of a $300 million savings bank serving Worcester and Norfolk counties.  Prior to that, Mark was at BankBoston for 19 years including nine-years in Asia.  Mark also worked at Arthur Anderson and Meale, McNamara.  Mark holds a Bachelor's Degree from Harvard University in Economics and a Masters Degree from Northeastern University in Accounting.  He replaces Ronald E. Reed, the Bank's former CFO who recently retired. 

Mr. MacKinnon is retired.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and former Partner in the Middle Market Advisory Services Practices with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Boston and was a Supervising Auditor at Edwin L. Pride & Compnay.  Mr. MacKinnon is a resident of Hingham and Osterville, Massachusetts.  

Before joining Bank of Cape Cod, Jennifer worked at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. as a Fund Accounting Supervisor.  Prior to that she worked at State Street Corporation in the Middle Office Accounting Services area.  She is a graduate of Bridgewater State College and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a double minor in Finance and Management.

Stephanie Santos is a new Credit Analyst at Bank of Cape Cod.  Stephanie worked previously at The Bank of New York Mellon, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank and Patterson Dental.  She is a graduate of Plymouth State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and a Minor in Economics. 

Charles DeSimone is the new Vice President of Commercial Lending at Bank of Cape Cod.  Charlie is a well-known, local lender with more than 20 years of experience lending to businesses throughout the Cape and South Shore.  He has been a member of the Loan Committee of Cape & Islands Community Development, a former member of SEED Corp., and has coached in the Barnstable Youth Lacrosse and Youth Soccer leagues.  Charlie earned a B.S. from Bentley College and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. 

Charlie specializes in  the needs of medical groups and commercial real estate and is based in the Hyannis office at 232 Main Street.  Charlie lives in Dennis with his family.

Mr. Grady is the Director of New Business Development at Athena Capital.  Prior to joining Athena, Mr. Grady was a managing director at Lehman Brothers.  Mr. Grady also spent 14 years at State Street Global Advisors in various senior capacities.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Grady served as Director of Sales at Bank of New England and Shawmut Bank.  Mr. Grady resides in Hingham and Truro, Massachusetts.

Mr. Mechem is a partner at Executive Resources International LLC, an executive recruiting firm, and is director of the firm’s financial services search practice.  Prior to joining ERI, he was a managing partner at Global Atlantic Partners LLC, an executive search and financial consulting firm, the president of JNB Associates, an executive search firm specializing in the community and regional bank sector, and a senior executive at Bank of Boston where he spent over 30 years in various executive management positions and in various locations around the world.  Mr. Mechem resides in Boston and Osterville, Massachusetts.
